Design inspiration
The design of the “Ray” is inspired by the pattern of light rays in nature; a shape that symbolizes life, hope, and beginnings. The regular lines that extend from the center of the clock to the periphery convey a sense of dynamism and expansion to the viewer, injecting new energy into the space at every moment.
Material and coating
The body of the “Beam” is made of plywood (natural multi-layer wood). Plywood is a suitable choice for the production of artistic and decorative products due to its durable structure and beautiful texture. The work surface is coated with vegetable oil to both preserve the natural color of the wood and create a protective layer on it. The combination of radial lines with the warm texture of the wood gives this clock a lively and dynamic look.
Manufacturing method
First, the graphic design of the rays of light was designed with high precision and then executed on the plywood surface using a CNC machine. After that, with fine polishing and hand oiling, the final surface was achieved to its perfect beauty. This process has ensured that both the beauty of the design is preserved and the softness of the wood is tangible under the fingers.
